Crown Point,
well recently you might have seen my posts about doing the balance shaft removal. that being said, i also have a brand new waterpump, all new fluids, new gaskets and all new t-belt and the fixin's. timing is dead on perfect and the motor is running strong, but right after everything is all back together i am cruisin along and getting on her a bit and i see a white cloud out the back every now and then. not all the time, but sometimes when i get on it and sometimes in between shifts. i recently removed the hi-flow cat for the test pipe and was thinking maybe thats it. the engine temp is fine, i was searching before i posted to diagnose, and the car runs fine...perfect actually, also some sensor is ticking bad, sounds like a lifter almost, but when i un-plugged it, stops....does it have anything to do with the smoke maybe??? i included a pic with the sensor circled in it!!!!

that is one of the emissions solinoids. Im not sure if it causes smoke when its bad but might send bad pressure to the emissions canister and create extra condensation...not sure though. Anyhow I dont think its your Head gasket. However do a compression test...that is the best way to find out....good luck

i have that clicking noise too. its my ISC. when i unplug it, it goes away. as for the HG, i doubt thats your problem. it would smoke all the time, not just sometimes.

am i wrong in assuming that blown head gasket = over heating too? if thats the case and you're still driving the car with no over heating problems then its obviously not the head gasket

i think its the isc, or mabye the knock sensor?

moreso, your oil has radiator fluid in it, rather than other way around. another good way to check is do a compression test, but take off your radiator cap, put pressure in a cylinder, and if im not mistaken, if your coolant bubbles, you have a leak in your headgasket. it may also be your turbo, take off your intake pipe and check for oil.
