Clutch stuck to floor today on the way home :thumbdown Is this the slave cylinder leaking?

Yes, its a very good chance thats your slave leaking. One of the only reasons for the pedal to be down to the floor is cause you have a hyrdolic leak. Could be one of the lines, but it is usually the slave cylinder that goes that causes this problem. Put some more fluid in there and try bleeding the system and look for the leaks with someone else pushing the clutch in and out.

#1 please resize that pic it will make this thread really really hard to read.

#2 pics of fluid on the ground don't help us at all....for all I know that is radiator coolant.

#3 you can tell if the slave is leaking fairly easily. Just pull the rubber boot off the end and have a friend pump the pedal. Does fluid shoot out of it?

#4 if you are thinking the seal in the slave is bad it is easy to fix. On the 90's you don't even have to pull the slave off the car at all. Just pull out the rod, have somebody push the pedal, catch the guts as they come out, put in new guts(any auto parts store will have the rebuild for <20 bucks), bleed, bleed again, bleed one last time. Once all this is done pay attention to the master as the seals on that are likely to fail soon too.

Advance auto has the slave cylinder for $13.19, any reason not to go on and just replace the whole thing? I'm 99% sure it is the slave, i havent jacked the car up yet to really check it out, but considering my sudden clutch problems...All of that fluid in the picture came out after I put more fluid in then pumped the pedal a few times. You can see where a drop just hit by the air bubbles in the picture :D

At least I got to brush up on my clutchless shifting on the way home :p
