I have a 97 gst spyder auto that boggs when I used modderate throttle. It also fluctuates rpm when maintaining same speed. Now my mod list (if it will help) S&B air filter, injen intake (bov return capped off), hahn super 16G, big fmic, greddy uic piping, greddy type s bov, race preped heads W/mild cams, 550 precision turbo injectors, walbro 255lph pump, 3" turbo back exhaust (no cat), trans lab shift kit, high stall converter (700 rpm over stock).
This problem started before I installed the fmic, 550s, walbro, shift kit and stall conv.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

too much fuel? is the only thing i can think of, but i dont think that would be it with just 550's, have you tried a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator?

I just posted basically the same problem. Yet I have not installed any aftermarket fuel injectors, so i'm guessing that can't be the cause...... If you figure out what it is please let me know, and I'll give you word if I find out. Thanks

Yeh my car is doing the same thing too. All i have is a Walbro 190, and a greddy type S. Took the type S off, thinking it was shitty and the diafram wasnt opening correctly( ive heard this was a common problem with the Greddys), and now the stock BOV is doint it too. with my car its more of a studder, and there is no power. Thought it was a boost leak, but im not so sure.

Baldman your car is running too rich from the 550s with no fuel management, then the 255 pump with no AFPR. Pick up an SAFC2 and any AFPR and you'll be in business, after you tune the SAFC2 that is.

Yea an SFAC should help alot, running 550's and 255 pump you should be running one anyway to tune it for max hp. :dsm:

Well, if the problem started before he installed the 550s, the problem would be elsewhere. My guess would be the BOV venting to the atmosphere. People have reported similar symptoms at mid throttle...it leaks out too much registered air and runs rich. Just a thought.

I replaced my spark plugs and wires and that seemed to helped the problem. But like I said i dont have any mods so it might be different for others
