Yes, I searched, but did not come up with something really close to mine.

I installed my older GReddy turbo timer today, and I bypassed the "power harness." Not the turbo timer harness, the piece that connects the turbo timer to the turbo timer harness (it's supposed to come with the turbo timer, but I bought it used.)

So anyways, I also had a GReddy turbo timer harness, so I wired the two by color, not connecting the blue wire (which is listed in the VFAQ instructions for this.) I connected the red to red, green to green, black to a ground, and the brown to my e-brake wire. I did not connect the purple or white wires (as well as the blue wire, as earlier stated.)

I have an alarm, and did the hacking as the VFAQ instructed.

I checked it, and the wiring looks fine to me, nothing loose.

It powers up, plays the song, and everything, but if I turn the car off (to ACC, ON, key out of the ignition, anything,) the motor shuts off, but the turbo timer counts down anyways.

Does the purple wire (speed) need to be connected for it to work properly, or am I missing something?

im dump. hah i will see if i can find the site that had the write up when i did mine , it was very easy to follow.

The thing is, everything seems to work (like the alarm.) Would everything work normally if something was wired wrong? Because, I figured that since the only hacking I did was to get the alarm to work, it should have no effect on the harness itself (letting the car stay on.)

no it sounds like you got the TT to ignition wires swapped around. Like you got your on and ACC mixed. Also make sure that the you are on your second ignition wire. There are two in my 1g and im not sure if 2gs have that problem. Or you just got gyped.

I am not clear on what you mean by "ignition wires swapped around."

I did not tap/splice anything in the igntion column, I only plugged the harness into it.

Well, I figured out the problem.

If you're using a GReddy harness, DO NOT CUT THE BLUE WIRE.

I connected it back up, and everything works great, including the alarm. Most likely, the blue wire for the HKS is a different wire, and I'm just an idiot and cut it anyways.
