Hey, me and my buddy are in the process of installing a 3" intake that he bought off of eBay and we are having no problems mounting it or anything, but just in the fact that there are two vaccum lines that go in to the original plastic intake tube. There are not any holes/grommets for them on the 3" intake that we are installing. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2476334776&category=6755) The one line goes in to the left side of the valve cover, and I think it is in relation to the article in the tech section about the pcv valve, right? http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82518
The other one goes to like some place underneath the battery and is very hard to see, so we're not sure what that one is. Can someone help us out? Thanks
Oh yeah, the car is a 90 talon tsi awd with a JDM galant VR4 engine in it.

Well, I have a 2g turbo and I went the GM MAFT route, so my intake pipe doesn't have any of the grommets either. Those hoses that lead to the intake are just for emissions purposes, and the hose that comes from the engine head will actually spray oil into your intake if your rings are slightly worn and you have oil blow-by. I have all mine disconnected with no bad symptoms. I would assume the same with a 1g
