Here is the scoop on what happened.

A noise in the engine like a very quiet click was prevalent in 1st and 2nd gear just after the 3,500 RPM mark. Noise then progressed quickly into what sounded like a small hole in the cat spread to third gear about a minute later noise progressed into what sounded like a loud electrical buzzing or clicking noise coming from the engine started to pul car off road when I hear the oil pan drop and white smoke billows out of engine, only doing 10 miles per hour. I try to turn the car back over but it only makes a clinking noise and then battery dies on me. I get out of car and find huge puddle of oil right under my engine and the oil pan is missing and can't be found anywhere, I searched a 200 foot area with no sign of it at all. Had car towed to house, won't turn over, same clinking noise, I am 95% positive the engine is no good, but since I don't have the money to repair it or bring it to the mechanic I don't know for sure. I have only had the car for 6 months, and the car was problematic from the beginning suspension problem, electrical problem and then it seemed after I fixed that all was well. I am trying to find out if I have a basis to sue the dealership, but need opinions on what happened so I can present them to my lawyer before I decide to pool together money I don't have to get it to my mechanic. Please any help is welcome.

I've been reading up on crankwalk and it seems this could be me problem as I fit some of the symptoms, especially the clutch pedal sticking. When the pedal stuck the first time though I checked the clutch fluid it was dry so I filled it, it did it again so I brought it to my mechanic and he wrote down that he fixed the clutch master(?) or masten(?) can't read his writing too well and the problem stopped, so I am reluctant to think that was a symptom since it happened 3 months ago when I first got the car. All this and I still love my DSM...why...

I hope to drive it again like by the end of the summer gonna miss the tuner bash.

Your problem is a snapped rod. i have the same problem, but mine is getting fixed. In your case you are unlucky enough to have gotten the block shattered by the broken rod rotating and hitting the block. I was fortunate enough to get my car in before somthing devistating happend. Sorry bud, but if i AM right, your engine is no good.

or at least that is what it sounds like happend. If you still have your car, look up at your crankshaft if the oil pan is off, and look at your rods. You should definately beable to see the broken rod if that is your problem... It's hard for me to tell if this really IS your problem, but it is a common problem among 1g DSM's and all of your symptons fit. Crankwalk.. might be... but the damage seems to devistating to be crankwalk.
