i just installed an air/fuel gauge and it says im running rich.. what would be causing this i do have a vacuum leak could this cause my car to run rich?? is ther any way to adjust it w/o and air/fuel controller

First, let me say those A/F gauges (the lean/stoich/rich ones especially) aren't accurate (with the stock O2 sensor anyway). You probably aren't running rich, maybe your O2 sensor isn't working properly. See the O2 sensor isn't used by the ECU to determine exact A/F ratio, just an estimate for cruising conditions. So its not something to tune by. It would be a good idea to fix the vacuum leak anyway. The only other way to adjust the A/F ratio without a fuel computer would be with a GM MAF and translator, but the SAFC2 is WAY more accurate and precise with tuning.
