hey guys,
i've read threads of this stuff and i cant seem to get it right. many have suggested having 8 threads showing from the top of the nut.. some say it varies from car to car. the thing with mine is at 8 threads showing it is too soft and whistles, then does a post [lower volume] whistle. at the current 6 threads i have the BOV will sputter sputter whistle... sounds like it's too tight?

anyone have any ideas? oh, and the write up by WOBBLE is good, but i just cant follow what he's saying

if it's fluttering that sounds like it's to tight and is not opening correctly causing compressor surge. My buddy has one on his B16 turbo hatch and at low speeds when it blows off it will do the loud whistle quiet whistle deal kinda sounds like the bully from the simpsons laugh LOL I think that ok.
