Ok guys heres the scenario. My car lately has been acting kinda funny. I have my boost set a 16 psi(14b) and it seems like only in second gear, it will hit 16psi and instanly go down and hold at 12 or 13. Not only that, my car has been rather high on the temp guage, still in the normal range, but higher than usual, so I keep adding coolant, and for some reason, i am losing it internally. So I am not sure if it is the HG or if my turbo is somehow burning coolant.
Here is the reason for my concern: I recently just bought an ACT 2600, Evo 3 Big 16 g, 550s, and a new timing belt(none of these on the car yet). I am planing on putting all of these in within the next couple weeks, but if my HG is blown, wouldn't it be better to just pull the engine, get a valve job and so on.
I would rather just replace the necessities for the sake of time, but I am wondering if you guys have had any problems with this. I dont want to replace the timing belt, and the clutch, and find out i have a HG blown. I have not done a compression check yet. Any help would be appreciated!
