ok here is the deal, I have a 92 eagle talon n/t 2.0. Many many new parts. fuel pump, fuel regulator, mas air flow, plugs NGK, wires, fuel filter, o2 sensor, IAC motor, pretty much everything but the TPS, idle stop, and the resistor.

once it warms up it will not go over 4000 rpm's. It bucks and spits and sputters no matter what. Espically at full throttle. It dosent matter if its on cruise control or not. At the low gears first through third, once i hit 4 grand i have to change gears and it will stop bucking and sputtering. But once again once it hits 4 grand, it starts bucking and sputtering, and hit 4th and its fine till 4 grand again.

If its idling, i can go to redline with no problems at all. Im at a total loss on what to do or even where to start looking. Please if anyone can give me some points or if anyone has had this problem, I would really appreciate any help you can give me.

After mods like that, I would also invest in a datalogger. In my old gst, I could not rev past 4k for anything, just to find out my knock sensor was cut when I bought it. I could see why it was cut when I took off the knock sensor. I would check it. Its on the back of the block, between the starter and a/c compressor. It should have black tar/goop on it...if the black goop comes off on your fingers, you need to replace it.

Oh yeah, even thought the wire was cut, it never threw a CEL (check engine light).

i didnt think about the knock sensor. all the mods have all been stock parts. and as i found out today, it dosent do this all the time. today it was fine. i was able to go as i wanted too, then other times it was 5 grand i couldnt go past. how much is a datalogger? and where can i get one? im really low on funds so gotta be a cheap one if that is even possible.

Well, my datalogger is DATALogger brand, which was 155 at the time, plus I needed to buy a palm pilot to run the software (ebay, 100 bux) and buy a serial cable to go from the cable that came with it to connect to the palm. Or, you can get a palm pilot or laptop and download software. My friend is running palm'n'stein, or something like that, and it works fine. That was free. For the free stuff, search on google.
