92 Eagle Talon TSI FWD...

Tranny pops out of second gear. Put it in second, and let the clutch out and it pops right outta gear into neutral..

Stuck shifting 1st to 3rd... Dealership says it might be the synchro...

Any ideas?

If it pops out of gear, it could be the bearings. My friends car do it when driving, just to find out that he broke one of the forks, since he shifts his car like a sport bike. The only real way to find out is to open it up and take a look.

If you do a search you will see that alot of people have problems with the tranny popping out of gear. Change your tranny fluid and you will probably see a bunch of metal in it. I'm pretty sure if the dealership is diagnosing the problem for you, you are not gonna fix it yourself. My local tranny shop quoted me 800 for a rebuild.

If you did not want to spend lots of money, you can get a tranny out of a junkyard from any 1g 2.0L fwd.
