running like crap and loss of power

I just bought this car (92 laser awd 6bolt) and it had been sitting since 96. it had a new head and timing belt put on it at that time and the owner couldnt pay for it so it sat. I have replaced the oil, coolant, etc. I have also only done the free mods.

but anyways, It starts and idles ok, but when you punch it, it seems to loose power around 4k and up, you can feel it boosting. I also spits and sputters once in awhile.

yah replace everything, fuel filter, flush the fuel system, plugs and wires, anythibng involved in basic matinence

I was just thinkin about the plugs the other day, I did run injector cleaner through it the other day. I will try plugs this week.

Intermittent Boost leak. Clean & reinstall all the Intake Boots - try it and/or do a leak test.

BTW - Watch all your Coolant Hoses - especially the little ones - You really should replace all Coolant hoses asap.

thanks everyone for your help, my coolant prob is my next issue, I did flush the radiator but its still getting really hot, but back to my main prob, it was the fuel filter, when I got the car the fuel pump was out from sitting 5 or more years with a full tank of gas and I forgot all about the fuel filter. put shes running like a stripped ass ape now, we logged it and the highest knock I have is 10, which I dont think is to bad, it might be coming from my engine running so hot. But thanks again guys
