Old info, ignore the flame posts
I have my head cleaned (steam cleaned it and took a wire brush with some solvent and basicaly got every bit of carbon off, looks brand new
)
my question is, are the rocker arm stops, stops, or lifters? haha, there are oil passeges throught them, but very small and only to provide luberication I'm sure, I think they are just pivit points and not "lifters" at all but I'm not sure.
Second, are these "lifters" or "stops" or what ever (
) machined to fit their own ports? or are they interchangable?
I'll provide detailed pictures of what i found on my head when im done (pretty disturbing, various posible "hot spots" that could cause pre det. and other nastyness)
Not sure if this is the right section or not, apparently rebuilding my entire engine to a race engine isn't "extream"
(though i guess technicaly I'm only doing the head work myself)
Side note, i strait edged the gasket surface after air buffing it, zero warp. Head's in awsome condition (only 68,000 miles on it)
