ok im working on puting in a new battery. i drop a bolt lands on top of tranny so i put it up on blocks to get to it. so im under there and i get it and i notice that there is a braket just hanging in there. so i pull it out. my qustion is does it need to go back on and if it does what size bolts do i need to buy. thanks a lot.

If the bracket you are refering to is the intake to throttle body bracket... yes, you want it to be there. It was there for a reason. For a bolt size ... you're probably going to have to do a little work on this yourself, I'm not exactly sure what bracket your talking about. Your post needs more information.

no its not that, it is a triangle shape 2 bolts run into the intake mainifold and 1 to the block it has 4 mealt tubs for the vacum lines running to the evap can.

I'm thinking about the same thing. Its way to pull the head off whitout having to undo that bracket

You do not need the bracket that bolts from the block to intake manifold. There is plenty of support at the flange for the manifold.

I usuaslly don't check the dates on the ones that pop up on the main page.

Normally I do if I am digging through the forums though.

Yeah. You can get away without the brackets. The only good use that I find on them are that they serve for good grounds between the throttle body, intake manifold and block.
