Was driving down the road had the car about about 70% throtle ( was passing a Semi) as soon as i got to 40 mph (in 3rd gear) I heard LOAD POP first thing that when in my mind was rods but the car was still running any thoughts

Checked the Vac lines as well as Both upper and lower Innercooler pipes they are all on and on fairly tight when I heard the pop the car jerked back and forth kinda of like the throtle body slamed shut. My turbo still spools I turned down the boost down from 10 to 8 PSI Any ideas ?

Not sure it is a Boost leak But I am sure I am leaking boost still need to do a pressure test on my IC pipes as well as my intake going to cheak out VFAQ for help with that.

I am not sure if it was a missfire or not never experianced one before, I thought fuel cut wasnt till your boost was over 15 PSI, I have allways ran 10 PSI. and what does CEL's mean ?? I have recently replaced my spark plugs with new NGK ones (about 3 months ago) i used a torque wrench to torque em back to what the box said 14 to 18 Ft LBS I have read something about a Gaping?? still not sure what it means?

okay, if you're sure you have a boost leak then I'm going to lean towards the fact that you hit fuel cut.. get that checked out ASAP

it takes 5 bucks and 30 min of your time to run to home depot

CEL - check engine light [ usually refer to the code that it throws to indicate what the ECU is warning us about ]

plug gapping.. get a gapping tool [ kinda looks like a quarter , they're a dollar at the auto store ] you just smoosh the plug tip down and then adjust with the tool... you essentially just slide it across the gauge until you get what you want.. i run .028 - .030 when i was stock and with the b16g.. no problems

my CEL has never came on since I have owned the car going to go to lowes pick up that the stuff needed for leak testing and to get that gapping tool

Thanks for the Help :thumb:

ive hit fuel cut once or twice and no CEL either, just thought id throw that in...definatly sounds like fuel cut to me...the boost leak tester is one of the best tools ive made for my car...it found the ole pin holes in my intercooler, i never would have thought to look
