i posted this in the tranny section but not a reply so far. i need someones help/opinion.
I have a 91 GSX, with an ACT 2100. The clutch pedal engaged at the very bottom of the floorboard. Example: Push the clutch in, put it in 1st gear, let the clutch out 1/64" and its already engaging. The clutch master and slaves were replaced by the previous owner less than 1000 miles ago. So tonight, im leaving work, and cant get the clutch to fully disengage to put the car in gear. I start the car in 1st gear, once im rolling i could get it to disengage enough to change gears to get home. So i get home, bleed the clutch slave cylinder until all new fluid is coming out. Push the pedal down and the clutch will still not fully disengage. TO test it, with the car off i put it in gear let it roll back a little, pressed the clutch in, and it sits still. It will not disengage. Has anyone seen this? I've checked the soft line on the slave cylinder to make sure its not flexing or leaking, and its not. Ive adjusted the clutch pedal free play, no dice, other than going to mitsu and replacing the slave cylinder with a new one, im not sure what to check. To my understanding with a act 2100 i should not need a longer slave cylinder rod, but should i be looking at that as an option? Thanks.
