here is the deal i bought a 1992 eagle talon for a 125$ needs work i talked to the dude that had the car last when it was runnin and he said he put a new head on because he blew a timing belt. than he said it happed again a mounth after (timing belt broke) no valves bent he said (also i checked by comppression and the motor turns over fine) there is a timing belt on it right now so here is the question what could have happend to blow the belt again? also he said the spark was not there after he put the current belt on. so i went and got a other cas and spark was weak and speratic. so could the timing be off? or is it my coil/transistor?
(car has a n/t 4g63)

About the no bent valves thing... Everyone Ive talked to on these boards and people I know that own DSMs have always bent valves, or seen bent valves when a timing belt breaks. Just a thought.

1G 2.0L engines are extremely interference. You pop a belt and you bent the valves. Unless it broke while the car wasn't running, you are going to need a head rebuild. And even if it DID break with the car off, you trying to start it would bend the valves. Unless the cam lobes are miraculously at TDC.
