I'm installed AGX shocks all around. What do I need to take off my stock shocks and put on the new ones? I figured I would have to take that cup thing off to put the bump stops on the new shocks....but how the hell are you supposed to get that cup thingy off!!! HELP!!

Once out of the car, you need spring compressors to compress/loosen them on each side, easiest to hold the shock in a vise and do this.
Once compressed, remove the top nut by holding the very tip with an adjustable wrench, then loosening the nut with an open end wrench.
Everything should come right up & off then. Place them somewhere in the order you took them off so you can put them back on in the reverse order. (if the agx's didnt come with any replacement parts)
That's pretty much it.

If you dont have a spring compressor go to auto zone and you could rent one for free with a refundable deposit.

I have heard of people that take the top nut off before they jack up the car.

Then do something similar when you put it back together.

spring compressor works a ton better..just rent one from Checker or Auto Zone...its a small deposit, then you get it back if you return the item within 24 hours. I had to buy new strut mounts, bump stop and the metal cup for all 4 shocks on my car cause the cup was welded on the stock shocks....

It doesn't have to be 24hrs before you return them, I returned mine like 2 days later and still got my deposit, no biggie.
Do NOT take the top nut off before compressing the springs when they're off the car.
If you take that top nut off....the springs are fully loaded and will blow the upper pieces off with more horsepower than your car can put out :)
