Quick question. Several months ago I had my spark plugs and wires replaced by a shop but they put a generic-type brand on. I'm wondering if this is the reason my car isn't as fast as I think it should be and why I lose to cars I should be walking.

Anyone think NGK BPR7ES w/ Magnacore wires would do the trick?

they won't be any worse than whatever you have in there right now. Spark plugs/wires change is easy, take 4.25 minutes and that's if you gap the plugs, you should be able to do it yourself and saev yourself some change.

Can something like low quality plugs / wires cause a significan difference in power?

I don't know about spark plugs, for stock applications I think they all would work fine if gapped correctly. Now wires, yes, different size wires, different boot, it all might cause some problems.

Do Not Get Magnacores! Get Ngk's!!
