i have a 90 talon the alt. went out and i bought a new one. well now my car like when i am drive it all my lights,gauges and headlights get real bright for about a minute or to then goes back to normal then a few minutes later does it again i wasn't going to worry about it but its buring out my headlights and bulbs.if you have any idea or suggestions please let me know.

dont worry about anything. its just because its a brand new alternator pumping out a lot more juice than your last one. its normal.

yeah but when it does it bogs my motor down and my radio cuts out while its doing it

Check the amps. It sounds like this might be a bad one too! I once put 3 diffrent (brand new) alternaters in from Pep Boyz. You might be pulling too many amps, causing this fluctuation in your electrionics.

AGREED.

Don't get a alternator from Auto Zone, they suck w/ their rebuilds on them.

i took it back and the volt. regulator was messed up so i got another one and when i went to put it in the ground wire sparked real bad when i hook it up and now it won't charge my batt. i think it fried my ecu cuz my power locks don't work my belt only slide forward if the car is running and you open the door and i a beep sound when i turn the car off now.what do you all think?

Sounds like you blew the alternator fuse on that one. It's in the box attatched to the B+ post on your battery.

I take that back, if you haven't already found it, it is in the main fuse block in front of the battery. It is held in by 2 10mm bolts. It is 80 amps and you should be able to tell if it's blown with out removing it.
