Will this cause bent valves?

I'm new to the DSM's but have been a mechanic for years. I have never worked with a hydraulic lifter setup like these cars have and I failed to collapse the lifters before reinstalling them. The question i have is will this hurt/bend any valves if I have already put the head on and torqued it? The head sat flat on the gasket (mitsu. 4 layer) but I'm not sure if torquing it would cause the valves to be bent. I looked at the head before putting it on and saw that some valves were slightly open. I plan on collapsing all lifter before startup. Any help would be appreciatled.
