I'm open to all opinions, and will answer any questions, so please help. here's the story:

I turn the key to see my voltage on my TT always before I actually start it. The voltage reads 8.5(ouch). So of course when I turn the key to start it, it won't start. The volts then go up to about 9.5-9.8. I keep doing this a few times until it actually starts. However, when it does start, it starts very, very slow.

After it starts, it goes up to about 13.5-14.2 volts which is all good. When I shut the car down and try to start again, i noticed it had a serious voltage drop, going back to 8.5v, and I have to do the whole process again. WTF is going on here:confused:

I have a red optima as my batttery. I've gone to have the battery, and altenator checked, and everything is fine. I've also checked every wire that I could get my hands on. I couldn't find anything either.

It's a brand new red optima, but I'll check it again.

I agree with defiant. It does sound like a dead cell (or 2....1.2-1.5 for lead acid right?)

Also check and make sure the connections to the battery are tight and free of corrosion.

It was a dead cell. I don't know what happened, it was checked before. But I don't really care about all of that, things are good again! :)
