Electrical power drain? Too much stress?

Hey guys recently ive noticed something weird (I think its been there the whole time but ive never noticed). At idle my car (a 2gNT 95 GS) idles decently at around 800-950. If i turn on thte fogs/headlights at idle i see the revs dropever so slightly maybe to 700-800 or so. The car runs basically fine but do you guys know what could be causing just turning on the headligts at idle (no other drain, music off, other electronics off basically). I have a voltmeter but it doesnt register any drop, rather an increase in voltage when the lights come on (makes sense). Is this because the alternator has to turn faster/more stress - kinda like turning the A/C on? I have a ground wire set, it helped with other stuff but not this. Would grounding the alternator help? Where/how should I ground it exactly for the best results?

It's normal for this to happen on an older car. The more systems running at once, the more the strain on the alternator. It can only put out so much amperage, and that has to be distributed to all the electrical systems. I wouldn't worry about it. If you are concerned though, a higher amperage alternator might fix the problem, if there is one available for the 2G NT (I'm not sure if there is).
