South Haven,
Ok, I took my car to Autozone today because the check engine light is on. They did their free computer reading and it comes back as "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfirings Detected." The engine sounds kinda nasty, not screeching or anything, just "dry." (Crappy explanation, but I really can't describe it any other way.) And my coolant is leaking, so I have to constantly refill it every few weeks. I'm just looking for advice and possible problems and price of fixes from any of you who have had this problem or have vast knowledge of what could be wrong. Thanks for any help.

your post is kind of broad dude.

but coolant leaking....and engine sounds dry??? like metal on metal sound??? is that what you mean???

u may have internal damage.

headgasket could be blown.

is there oil in the coolant that is leaking?

engine misfiring repeatadly? pull the plugs and check them, then check the order that your plug wires are going in, you may have them wrong.

injectors clogged, filter clogged.....

basically, you need a better diagnosis of what the hell is going on with your engine

Yeah, I don't know a lot about cars. There is no oil in the coolant though. I definitely need to take it to a more credible source and get some specifics, I just wanted some general ideas at what I may be looking at, I guess there are a lot of possibilities though.
