My car used to boost 14 PSI when i first got it. latley my car hasn't been feeling as fast as it used to.i have put in a boost gauge and notice that i usally get 10 PSI. sometimes when my car is cold it will jump upto 15psi then drop to about 14psi. then after a while it drops down to 10psi and won't go past that.

it only boost that high when it's cold in the morning or if i race the crap out of it then i can kinda force it to boost higher. i have K&N Air Filter, Free Mods, muffler, straight through cat, NO BOOST CONTROLLER, maybe that's what i need to fix it? can anyone help me? my car feels slow at 10 psi

Check for boost leaks, and see if you need new plugs and wires. Start there and i hope you find the problem.

pressurize your intake system and watch your boost gage, see if it holds, listen for boost leaks on the out side. you should hear them..
(I use a rubber hose cap that fits the intake side of my turbo with a bicycle tire stem incerted for preasurizing, clamp it down good and pump it up with a compresser to 15 PSI then chase down the "HSssss"'s

it's very common to get more boost when its cold out side, and as your engine warms up and your system gets heat soaked you'll get "less boost"

your car, stock, won get 14psi, the stock gages is unrelayble

i have a vac/boost gauge that i bought recently that's how i know how much boost i'm getting
