Oil Pressure Seems Low

When I drive around my oil pressure gauge reads about half way up into the second section of the guage. That's the good area to be when your driving right? Ok so when the car gets up to full temp the pressure guage drops down to about a 1/4 inch from the middle mark. This is low am I right?? How can I check the oil Pressure to be sure and what psi am I looking for? If it's low am I looking at replacing the pump or should I start with something else?

Stock DSM oil pressure gaugs don't mean shit. So long as it moves off the bottom, you're fine. If it doesn't move, it's because the cheeseball wire has fallen off the pressure sender.
