Car not cranking

Hey all, so i just went out to try and start my car and it wont start. The car seems to have power, CD player works and everything is normal like the dash lights and everything. But when i turn the ignition on it wont crank, i can hear the fuel pump come on though..... It took me 2 trys to get it started last time i tryed to start it but it ran fine and everything, it might be related, but it cranked both of the 2 times just the first time it didnt quite start...i figured cause it was so frigin cold yesterday but today its like 70 or something. Only thing i can think of is the starter is messed up or the ignition is messed up or maybe the wiring...i dunno...i looked in my manual and it pointed to the battery, starter motor, and ignition system. Can i get some opinions on what to check?

OOO and i need someone to answer this ASAP, do the injectors open with the ingnition or when its cranking??......i need to know if theres a butt load of gas in my cylinders cause i tryed to start it 3 times cause i wasnt sure if it would open the injectors or not, if someone could tell me if they open cranking or not cranking i would really appriciate it.

aaawww... i really need to know about the fuel injection on start up.....do they just hang open when you have the ignition on or is it still in tune with the timing????? Did i flood my engine when i tryed to start it 3 times??? or no because it didnt crank??

I don't "think" you flooded it, because it didnt crank. Can you push start it? If it runs when you push start it then its prolly the starter or maybe wires leading to the starter.

i havnt tryed yet, but ima do that first thing tomorrow after i try cleaning the battery terminals and such.

push start......roll down a hill and let the clutch slowy out in 2nd right?? am i missing anything???

you didn't flood the engine.

I push start on flat ground in 1st....but you got the idea.

If it doesn't turn over and when you turn the key the lights don't dim 90% of the time it is the starter.

Update, cleaned off terminals and still wont start. Lights are dimming alittle bit when i try and start it but i cant tell to much cause it daylight out. There is a click under the hood when i try and start it. I dont know what all this means so any help would be appriciated, im going to try and bump start it right now. Ill be back with a update.

Bump start worked, started pretty easy, didnt even roll down a hill just pushed it. Taking it to advance to get alternator and battery checked out. Be back with update.

After i bump started it we took it to advance auto parts and got the battery checked and the alternator checked, the dude said it was all reading fine then he noticed the negative termial on the battery wasnt staying on and he grabbed it tight and told me to start the car, and it started...so i got a new terninal conection thingy and all is good now.
