This just started happening today. I was driving down the street and I get very little boost. Like the turbo just doesn't want to provide me with any. I normally have between 12-14 psi all of a sudden it's around 0-5 psi. Please Help.

if you can still hear the turbo spool accompanied by a loud whisling/shrieking sound its a boost leak. if not take the intake pipe off and see if the turbo spins freely. and check for shaft play at the same time.

Theres no whistling noise that i can hear. I'll have to check on my way home from work. I did however notice that the clamp that holds the intake pipe to the turbo is missing . . . and that is why I hate taking my car to a shop to have it worked on.

Maybe the connection where the clamp is missing is leaking, that could be why it isn't boosting. Even a small leak can #### up your pressure a lot.

I had a similar problem.

Make sure your wastegate actuator's rod arm is still connected to the wastegate. If it is not connected, you wont be able to utilize the wastegate and your desired psi will not be obtained.

Here is a picture:

The wastegate actuator and rod arm on my car is painted red. Its right under the exhaust manifold and turbo in the pic. Its probaly silver on yours. Make sure that is connected to the pin on the wastegate.

Hope that fixes your problem.

That wouldn't cause boost loss. That would cause unmetered/unfiltered air to be introduced into the intake system. Also not a good thing.

I bent my actuator rod slightly to keep it from falling off. Its not the correct way, but it worked for me. If you could do something different without bending the rod, im all for it. To properly fix the snapped pin that connects the connector rod to the wastegate would be very difficult seeing how you would have to tap out the old broken piece of pin. I had the problem your describing about a year ago. It hasnt fell off yet...so do what you want. I would like to get somebody in this thread who has had this pin break, and then have it fixed correctly.
