Sputtering and lights flickering

Here's some back ground information:

1992 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo
77000 kms
Automatic Transmission

Problem: When driving any speeds ( highway or town ) I am having intermittent problems where the car sputters and looses all power to the point where I have to pull over and put it in park. The RPM's drop and the lights on the dash flicker on and off, but doesn't ever stall out completely. After I put it in PARK and push the pedal all the way down, the RPM's go up and the car is fine for another couple of days/weeks.

Here is what I have done so far:

Replaced the fuel pump
replaced the fuel filter ( engine & the gas tank )
Replaced the plug wires & the spark plugs
Replaced the battery

Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance.

ecu capacitors, my car is stick, but it did the same exact thing, at first i thought massive boost leak, but occassionally it would go away by itself, i replaced the caps and not happened again

Do you have specific instruction on where to look and which caps to replace ? Is it obvious as to which caps to replace and also where is the location of the ECU ?

I'm having the same problem on my car I found this link off of VFAQ.com http://www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/caps.htm

I'm waiting for the caps to come in the mail but I'm pretty sure its the solution for my problem it has all the same symptoms except the smell.
