After hours apon hours of trying to tune this thing, i have came for your guys' help. I am most positive that everything is hook up right. com to actuator and no to boost pressure and so on. Now I have been all over the gain and set gain including the set boost level. and still cant get it to stay below 180. i think one problem it might be is the valves are not screwed in all the way into the valve unit, reason being is because i could not screw them in any farther. another reason it might not be working is because my type s blow off valve's second nipple is tapped into the pressure line. could someone please give me a premade setting or some advice on what it could be. the preset would be for 14.5psi(145) thanks in advance:thumb:

best advice ill ever give...get rid of it. i have the same boost controller. it sucks. no one in their right mind likes it. im going with a MBC for the ease of use. dont spend your money on 'that gee-reddddy' junk. ill never do it again.

oh yea, to answer your question, it takes forever to figure out that set boost start gain set whatever. i spiked to 22 psi once. not safe whatsoever

Did you pull all 3 caps on the actuator? That can cause it. The extra opening is suppose to be open. Just a thought.

I'm having the same problem. Before I thought the reason I couldn't control my boost was because my turbo was f***ed up, but last week I put on a ported big 16g. Worked fine in my boy's Talon. Problem still exists. Could it be that it's the stock upper pipe causing the problem? Check out my profile to see the mods and let me know what you think. This sh*t is really getting under my skin. Come on guru's, I see you helping people on here all the time. WE NEED SOME HELP HERE!!! LOL

Peace

The one I have works perfectly in kPa mode. GReddy support said there is a problem with some units not working correctly in PSI mode. Specifically, on the one I have, the Warning would always trigger the Limiter. I had the Warning set as high as 22 PSI (220), in the Low settings and even though I was only boosting 18 PSI the Limiter would trigger.

Finally, I set the Limiter to 0 because I got tired of it decreasing boost and making the car slow down. I had the other settings tweaked and I knew I was not over boosting.

GReddy said to return the unit to where I got it from (RRE), I contacted them and they agreed, but I just have not gotten around to it because it works perfectly in kPa mode.

Here is a link to the Excel file I carry around to check the settings since I am not familiar with kPa. It also has my current setting on it. I use the Low running 91 octane and the High when running 101 octane.

Hope this helps!

Did you say its SUPPOSED to be open? I was just about to run it over multiple times in my driveway then feed it into the garbage disposal after days of hair pulling and cursing trying to get the thing to register anything above stock boost. I'm not an idiot and consider myself pretty electronicly inclined but this thing was pissing me off to the point I would wake up mad at it.

My external W/G nipple on the solonoid is blocked right now, you say it should be open? Please confirm this. I read this nowhere in the instruction manual. Stupid Flanders!
