Turbo Question

Hey,

I have a question. I just blew my T28 a few weeks ago and recently swapped the stock T25 back on. Ever since the stock turbo has been on, it doesnt feel like a smooth transistion when it spools up. It feels as if the turbo is on or off, there is no in between. I was wondering if it could be because I have not put the gasket between the O2 Housing and the downpipe on yet. Please let me know if there is something I just don't know about or if it is because of that gasket. Thanks.

It could just be 'cause the T-25 is so small it spools so quickly

But really, I'd check for any intake leaks. I don't think a missing gasket would make it feel like that.

Thanks, that helped a lot. It feels pretty much like a smooth transistion now. The Intercooler pipe going to intercooler was loose.

Now I have another question. Ever since the turbo swap, I get idle surge when im in neutral from around 1200 rpm to a little bit over 1600. I tried playing around with the BISS but that didn't do much. Also, at 1000 and 1600 rpm, my AFC was set to -5%. But after the turbo swap, the rpms would bounce lower and lower and sounded like it was going to stall out. I then changed the AFC to 15% and 10% respectively and it kind of took care of that problem, but I don't think it was the smartest thing to do. What do you think?

By the way, there is no o2 sensor on the car right now, I have yet to replace the broken one. I plugged up the hole with a half inch screw right now. Could the idle surge be because of the missing o2 sensor?
