oil leakage

my friend just bought a 90 tsi, and everytime he turns hard (left or right) you can smell oil burning..... like it's leaking out somewhere and cooking off the motor. it only does it under those conditions... any ideas? i'm stumped

Are you sure it's oil burning, and not tires rubbing?

... You really need to get under the car and see where the oil is coming from man. Saying "hes got a 90 STi, and I smell oil when he turns" ... thats like telling a blind man to run into the forest, your gonna geta ugly out-come with piss poor advice.

... Maybe someone changed the oil, they have some sitting somewhere in the engine bay that aint hot.. and when ya throw that corner it throws the oil onto the motor?... or its tires.

My car leaks oil from the J-Pipe. I guess the gasket is shot, and when im driving, it drips onto the downpipe and it smells like burnt oil a lot of the time.
