I just wanted to know if new tickers are suppose to tick after you just put them in
this is getting me worried

Solution
When you put the new lifters in, they have to prime themselves, I usually let it run for about a half an hour or so till it quites down. Could take longer.

Mine do the same. What oil do you use? Is it just on a cold start?! Your oil pump could be going out and your not getting enough oil flowing to the head.

well i just bought the car and i just put in regurlar shell 10w-30 just to flush the engine I am only gonna use this oil for about 500-1000 miles just to flush the engine then just put in Mobil 5w-30

the place where i had mine put in told me about 500 miles until they are broken in, and quiet. mine make hardly any noise as is, but they make it on occasion. just give it a few hundred miles. they also told me not to beat on my car until they are broken in...
