The tensioner assembly on the two belts that attach to the crank pulley doesn't seem to be cooperating...do i need to fully take out the bolts that hold the slanted curve in place out? also, which way should i turn the screws that look like they're for adjusting tension? (EDIT: to loosen the tension)

Fixed, finally, just took the handle of a hammer and stuck it down the side of the engine onto the pulley and beat on it a little bit and it came loose.
