Okay well lately i have had a horrible poping noise... sounds sort of like a crunch. The noise would occur when comming to a stop (crunch crunch crunch). Sometimes when i wouls slow down i hear a loud pop like something is moving. I can feel when slowing down the crunching sound(feeling) under my brake foot or on the footpad(left of the clutch pedal)... I thought it was CV joint but after reading the noise was never when turning just when stopping... i have pics to help you guys out... the pic is from the outside of the rim shooting throu to the gold thing. Any question on my explenation please ask i really need help on this ASAP.

That picture looks like it is the steering system not the brake system. Like he said it sounds like you could have bad pads on the car. Does it sound a little like grinding metal also?

Reach through the rim and feel the rotor is it ridged? also feel behind it on the back side?

IMHO I would pop the wheels off and check brake pad thickness then replace.

That picture looks like the tie rod end. You could tell if that is the problem if you jack up the front of the car. Grab the tire on the sides and wiggle it in and out as if you are making short turns in both directions. Watch the parts and see if there is loosness/play in the steering components. If that doesn't show anything, do the same thing with the top and bottom of the tire.

Hope that helps, though I wasn't really clear on what your question is to begin with.

I would also recomend checking this component that has the mitsu part label on it. It is the lower lateral arm replaced during the recall. After you check the tie rod end grab the top and botom of the wheel. Try and move the wheel up and down and watch the ball joint cup at the end of this lower lateral arm. It should not move independent of the rest of the suspension.

When these lower lateral arms start to fail there will be alot of popping and noises coming from the front suspension.
