when im cruising at about 80 my temp needle starts bucking down, the more i put my foot into it, the cooler it shows, the needle never goes above normal operating temp but im concerned with this unexplained dropage, please help me

check your sensor. its located on the thermostat housing.

You may also not have a thermostat...or it is stuck open.

When you go faster you can overcool the car without a thermostat. Does it take a long time to heat up after starting?

I had the same thing happen to me and with all the crud and grease in my engine bay the wire slipped off the sensor and was just dangling there, sometimes touching and sometimes not. I tightened the clip, put it back on, and now it's good as new. It's to the right of the thermostat.

ok...same thing just happened to me......i left my school at around 3 gettin ready to go home and go to the track 2night and i look at the temp gauge and its low...the logger shows me 110 degrees......its weird....i hope thats it im gonna check it now maybe theres hope to race =)
