factory alarm problem

So ive had my car a couple of weeks and its been running fine. I go to open my door today (90gsx) and the alarm goes off, horns beeping bells and whistles going off WTF its never did this before all this time that I had it. I couldnt turn it off because all i had was the key and nothing else locking and unlocking the door, i had to unplug the battery to shut the thing off. Any way to bypass the factory alarm or just shut the damb thing off?

my galant has a stock security system... it's used to act funky when i frist got the car but after a while it stopped so i dunno.

i dunno man but i went and opened my door this morning and the damb thing started beeping i was like what the hell is goin on. It didnt do it this afternoon though, im puzzled

I had the same thing happen when i was sound deadening my doors. Had all the wires inside the door disconnected, shut the door to go eat (doors were unlocked to the best of my knowledge), came back out and opened it and had it go off on me. Scared the crap outta me. I dunno what it's issue was. I have an aftermarket alarm, but it was definitely the factory one that was going off. Maybe check the wires inside the door?

i just assume its factory, i mean all i heard was the horn beeping so i just figured it was factory i may be wrong but i asked the guy i brought it from and he said he never put a factory alarm on it. It hasnt gone off again ever since. Freaking weird ass car. Question will i run into problems with a remote starter/alarm with a hks turbo timer?

my 90' eclipse gsx has the factory alarm also....you prob have a door, or hood switch going bad...

Factory alarm is available on the 90 AWD....I have one.

It is great too it goes off no matter what after armed. You turn it off by turning the key to unlock the door again.

after you lock the door you have like 30 seconds. If by some chance you unlock it in that time and don't klick the power locks over it will stay armed (mine has done this because my key is very worn). Just connect the battery back up and unlock the door again and it should turn off.

You should have a security light in the bottom right hand of your gage cluster when you lock the car. It goes off after about 15 seconds and is green.

I have a 90 GSX and I am having the same problem. Everytime I open the door and start the car my lights and horn start going off....for like 5-10 mins. It's horrable. I ended up pulling the fuse to the horn because I could find no way to stop it and no one knows how to fix it. I end up driving around till they stop flashing but when someone opens the door, they start right up again. I also had the problem of this alarm draing the battery. One night I couldn't get out of my car because the alarm would go off everytime I tred to get out. If anyone knows how to help out that would be great.

Your power locks are tripping. Unlock the door with the KEY

Let us know if that doesn't turn the alarm off.

There's a switch located on the back of the key cylinder too. Frequently they will go bad of come off. In those instances, using the key won't make any difference. Here's a link that you may find helpful. It's for a 2g but the switch itself will more than likely be the same in nature.

try the other door also. and maybe the trunk. if the key doesn't work there either then you got problems.

Yeah, the problem only happens from the driver's door then it's probably the driver's door switch. They may be interchangeable if you don't want to buy one. You can just swap the good one over to the door you use most.
