clutch acting funny

hi i just got a clutch 1000 miles ago and now i have to let it half way out before it even starts engaging and it isnt smoothe at all it kinda thunks in there. and tehres a popping noise when i first accellerate!

poping noise is probably something different.. did you fill the clutch fluid.. and bleed it? there is a nut underthe clutch pedal u can use to adjust where it lets out if all else fails.

never bled it , no idea how too though.
