Coolant leak?

Hey guys..ive searched but found nothin...lately my car started smoking from the engine and leavin a big puddle of green ish all over my driveway..i took it to my mech and he said he couldnt find the leak..so again today it started smoking and my engine temp was maxed out..has this happend to anyone b4?

Have the cooling system pressure tested and the leak will appear.

The stuff leaking may just be overflow from your coolant reservoir. If you keep overheating it, it will do that.

Check a couple of areas:
-Radiator cap area for signs of any fluid leak that has dried up
-Bypass hose (small hose to the driver's side of radiator cap that connects to metal tube)
-coolant resevior, if the engine over-heats or the cap is bad it will fill up the resevior and over flow. Check around the passenger side motor mount where the over-flow resevior dumps out excess coolant.
-Check the heater hoses behind the intake where the rubber sections of hose go in to the firewall
-check the water pump area. There's a seal on the back side of the water pump. It's a large o-ring that seals a tube about an inch and a half around. This tube is located under the power steering pump area and goes in to a small section of the block that sticks out.
-Check the radiator for coolant leaks as well.

dump it in there, drive around, and let it sit. Get a blacklight and check your car out in the dark. The leak will glooooowwwww. There's kits that include water/coolant dye and also oil dye. Be sure to get the right kind.
