boostin out of control

in every gear when its boostin it will run up to like 17psi then starting cutting out and some times it will run doun to what ever the mbc is set to but i cant even tell what i have it set to anymore because it rarely goes down. right now i have race gas in it and it will run up to 19psi consistantly but when i run out i know its just gonna start all over again what can i do

Check to see if the wastegate is opening. If it's stuck closed, then you'll boost uncontrollably.

how do i check? today i shortened up my lines because i heard that helps stop boost spikes but i dont even know what is wrong with it. like i said it run 19psi fine but when i turn it down i know its just gonna start jumping again. i cant check anytrhing either because im waiting on my tans to get back.

did you check the lines that go from the boost controller to the wastegate and to the bov or did you just shorten them? my boost was off the map one time and it ended up that i had a cut in my hose.

to check if the wastegate works you can manually pull the rod on the wastegate or if you have compressed air shoot air into the hose going to the wastegate.

make sure to check all the connections for a good seal. sounds like a leak somewhere between the bov and the wastegate.

i was woundering if there was a leak but if there was a leak then wouldnt it run a really low boost level. i check it when i will get my car runnin so hope fully soon. thanks for the help
