Ok well bought this and it came w/ a blown hg. Well I fixed that and when I assembed it I couldn't find the housing to block gasket so I used some of that gasket maker shit. Well it was running great except that that gasket maker shit leaked a little. So I have a small leak but I'm keeping the rad fluid full and will be fixing that hopefully this weekend. Well anyhow after a couple days my idle starts acting funny. It idles now between 1/2k and acually will surge between them. Lastly today I notice that I'm boosting at .62 full throttle when I usually would peak at 1.2ish. Also I notice a clicking noise in the intake manifold. Anyhow these are all adding up which is starting to really freak me out. I need a place to start(and a warm garage)

hmmmmm....... where to start?

get a real gasket. that sealent is only a bandaid.

the ticking noise is either lifter tick (if its really loud), or its the injectors going thru their cycle. if it continues and you are really worried get it checked out.

the flux in RPM is just idol surge. can be fixed bt getting a new TPS (throttle position sensor) or the IAC motor (idol adjustment control)

#1: get the real gasket. you dont wanna look stupid in front of your mechanic (eventhough you dont pay him to pass judgement on you)

#2: tell your mechanic of the other 2 problems and get his opinoin too. i ask the sales manager of the parts dept. at my mits. dealership (he owns 2 GSX's and hes the understudy of the last parts manager who was my DSM GOD)

hope it helps
