I have a stock 2G. I get a loud rushing air sound under acceleration. It sounds like air is rushing in from the passenger side vents. It happens when ever there is boost pressure and is very loud above 5psi. I recently replace the BOV cause I thought it might have a leak but this did not help. I am not losing any boost pressure and can safely get to 12psi under hard acceleration.

Any ideas. I was told pin holes in my intercooler but wouldn't I lose boost pressure too.

Thanks in advance.

It's probably the sound of the turbo sucking in air, especially if you have an aftermarket intake/air filter

NO ITS NOT A GOOD SOUND I JUST WENT THROUGH THIS AND IT WAS MY INTERCOOLER PIPING ONE OF THE CLAMPS CAME OFF. HOPE I HELPED.

If It is one of his IC pipe clamps coming off, its very doubtful that he would still be pushing 12psi without a problem. I know when my IC pipe blew off, the car didnt even wanna move. Anyway, check all your clamps, etc...I still say its the turbo spooling.
