Ok here goes.My car was stolen about too weeks after i bought .They found it a week or so later with stereo and other misc stuff gone. When i was driving it home it hit full boost and bucked real hard! The fact guage was reading off the scale.so i pulled over and popped hood and noticed wastegate vac line was disconnected..so i hooked it back up and drove off..then a whistleing noise was comming from turbo and my hp was 20%lower or so than befor it was stolen.I bought a newer 14b 2 replace it and whistle is gone but hp is still same..didnt gain any..eveything is tighten down good..any thoughts?Oh yea the whistle was comming from bent fins..

Do a compression test. If the people who stole it pulled the wastegate line and ripped it the stock turbo can reach around 25psi so they may have popped a head gasket or blown the rings on your car do to excessive detonation.

Is there an excessive amount of oil in the intercooler pipes and especially in the intercooler? If they blew the intake oil seal on your old turbo then there would be oil all over in your IC pipes. A little oil is normal from the crankcase breather.

Is it smoking at all? If so what color

Nope not head gasked drive it every day..In fact drove it 2 St louis the week i got it back.. Never used oil or coolant and even with new turbo still has same hp..and it has always ran rich for some reason..it runs pretty good..jus lower hp than when i bought it..a bud o mine has a compresion tester were testing it this weekend tx for the info..and it is blowing black smoke but very lil..always has..i need new o2

Tx guys for the info..Im gunna do a comp test this weekend..Let you know how it turns out..If its past service limit how long do you think it will last i mean it runs real strong..Just not as strong as it did..h yea is 300 miles a tank good on 87 oct?hehehe It runs rich but damn good mileage

DO NOT! DO NOT! use 87 octane. Use 93, i know they have it up ther b/c i always get it. You might be knocking hardcore and getting timing pulled like a mother due to you using horse piss for gas.

We can check it out on Saturday at the tracks, there will be a few other smart DSMers there that know mroe then me, so we will find out something Isaac.

Cool just cant afford$ 1.70 gallon 4 it right now..And im gettin over 300 miles 2 a tank..Thats good right? Thanks for the post Cody..Yea mabey i could have someonre that knows how my cars supposed 2 feel drive it..I have suspension probs 2..

Only $1.70 there? Its freakin $1.89 here :thumbdown
I have suspension prob as well...that being my shocks are wore out and they squeek rather badly, and my rack n pinion has a leak so my power steering is poop and make awful noise....alwell

By the way, do you plan on running ur car at the track?

Might jus 2 c what it can do..Dont want 2 get lauphed at!LOL Also i might have someone who knows how 2 drive it run it, i might b impressed Yea my shocks are bad and it doesnt help that im 6 foot and 240 LOL.How much is it 2 run?

I doubt anyone else will run it. Its your car, you wont get laughed at, trust me. DSM_23 ran 19's last year b/c he had a HUGE gap b/t throttle body and manifold. Its fine, plus ur car is stock. Just run it if u feel up to it, dont let anyone else drive, assuming you could find someone who would. I know i wouldnt want the responsibility if something broke while i was driving it.

And its 10 to run ur car, or 8 to just get in and watch and stuff....check out the thread in the Event forum...Has all the info in there about this weekend i do believe...
