Heres the problem: When i turn the car on the battery and coolant
lights stay on. Then when i start to drive (after putting down the
e-brake) the brake light stays on... I thought it was becuz i had
work done to my car and they powerwashed the engine bay. i tried to
reset the ecu bt disconnecting the power to the battery for 15 mins
but it didnt reset the ecu, maybe i didnt wait long enough. so i went to go drive the car and it started to idle low and i mean it droped to like nothing untill i put it back in gear and pushed on the gas... so i brought it back to the house and parked it. I let it sit to see what it would do.. after while the 3 lights would shut off. but as soon as i would give it
gas they would light up.

I think its the battery becuz i would push on the gas just alittle
bit to get it just to about 1g and the lights would brighten alittle
and i had the heat on full and it would push more out until i let
off the gas then the lights dimmed and the heat wouldnt blow as hard.

any suggestions on what i should do or think it is?

i did some searching and i was reading that it might be the alternator or the battery or connections... but when i was reading they all said that after they gave it gas the lights would disapear.. thats not the case for me. mine light up when i give it gas. so what could the problem be? im gonna go switch batteries since i got an extra one and see if that fixes it. but can anyone help me out plz.

ok i went out and started looking at the connections, and it looked like on connection on the alternator wasnt secure, so im going to fix that to see if thats the problem..

The car hasnt died out yet and starts up fine every time. if that helps..

another quick question to add on to this... i need a quick answer if anyone could help me out.. i have a wreaked mitsubishi mirage sitting in my garage and i was wondering if it would be possible to take that alternator off and put it on the eclipse untill i can hit up a junk yard and get a new one? do u think it would be possible?
