2g exhaust manifold bolts

im missing one of the four bolts than go into the manifold and turbo..a friend and i bought one from the hardware store but it will not go in all the way. anyone know the correct size or if its ok to leave it as is?

Considering how hot that manifold gets, you really should get a Mitsu bolt. I had a home depot bolt in there for a couple of days while the dealer was ordering an extra bolt and it got pretty burned up. Not saying it won't hold up on there, but a Mitsu bolt would hold up to the heat better.

mitsu bolt it is and ill assume they'll know the size. how much are they though? but is it really necessary to have all four?

I can't remember the cost offhand, but I think it was under $4.00 It wasn't expensive. It isn't absolutley positively necessary to have all four bolts, but why wouldn't you want all four? For peace of mind that nothing will go wrong, I'd say it would be worth it.

yea, your right. one more question though. im also missing a nut (4 in total) that bolts into the sides of the mani from the engine, could that cause a boost leak?

i need to know if any of these missing bolts/nuts can cause a boost leak because i dont have an air compressor for a leak test.
