Hello,
My car is acting the same was as it was in my post about wanting to dropkick my car. The car was running fine, then on my way home the dipstick popped out and sprayed oil on the driver's side of the car. The car still drove home fine, but the next day the car was acting up. The car struggles to start up, then it does and revs up to about 2500 and then dies. If I try to give it some gas while it's running the car hesitates and it doesn't help, and it dies.
I disconnected the alternator to see if that was it, and switched ECU's, using some of the advice I had gotten before. Replaced the PCV valve to avoid the dipstick popping out again. The car is still acting the same.
Getting new plugs for it tonight, don't know what else to try. I might try swapping out the coil pack (when it's trying to start up it almost sounds like it's not running on all 4 cylinders) or disconnecting the ISC to see if any of this works.
I really need the car and I'm running out of ideas. I don't see how it could be a vacuum leak because like I said, the car had been running absolutely beautiful before the dipstick popped out.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gunnar
