Well I went to the dealer today and found out that i have bunch of problems. Well the guy said Its NOT SAFE for me to drive the car.

Here are the problems.
Need to replace drive belts

The coolant is leaking somewhere, or no cooling as it says.(the guy told me this might be the most expensive procedure to fix. Since they have to take out the whole part and see if its in working condition and all that. I didnt understand what he was talking about but i knew it was something expensive.)

the Tranny fluid is leaking..

and Head gasket is leaking..

Floor pipe on exhaust braking

Bent suspension parts

Body rough shape

Throttle cable stiff(said it mite fix the slow speed problem)

Something with brakses that causes vibration while stopping.

I know i cant fix the body and the suspension, but Ive done some searching on DSMtuners and i belive i can fix like the leaks on the headgasket and etc. Does the coolant get loss because of the leaking head gasket?

I did get the thing fixed where they had a recall on the eclipse. saved me 600bucks

How much do you think it would cost to get the whole thing fixed?? the guy told me about 2.5k Thats the price i paid for my car. I also learned a lesson, dont buy salvaged cars...

So if you guys can give me any adivces~ i would greatly appreciate it! I love my eclipse.. and i dont want to see it break. If you can link me to any page that may help me. I would appreciate that too~.

well http://www.vfaq.com has a lot of tutorials on "do it your self maintenance" if you feel like studying and see if you want to do it. also here there's alot of good information you can use, juts search on your specific topic...

I can tell you that the brake vibration is caused by warped rotors, replacement is not hard or expensive... thats a simple fix, also if you have some knowledge in mechanics 101 you might be able to replace your headgasket, the hardest thing I would say for a novice is to torque the head with the correct specs...

Is your tranny automatic? maybe replacing the pan gasket would stop the leaking... another easy fix there, unless the leak comes from another spot

the exhaust leak is best to take it to the muffler shop...

Anyway... do some search, or ask ahead on your specific doubts, I'm sure theres alot of people here that already went thru your currect problems so somebody can give some good advice.

Good luck, and Welcome again to your DSM.

The "pan" gasket he is refering to is the transmission pan gasket. It is underneath the transmission.

no offense man, but if ur asking that i wouldnt want to try DYI stuff on the headgasket & some of the other stuff like brakes which are important for stopping/safety. or b4 u try stuff...make sure u read up on everything, so no one gets hurt.

im not saying that im a big shot technician or anything, but @ the same time, im not trying to fix everything on my car myself. good luck. welcome aboard. :talon:
