Im creeping to 20 psi on my evo 16g when im at about 5500 rpms what should I do will a new o2 housing help like the evo o2 housing. Also I'm hitting fuel cut to fix that will just an afc and pump work or shoudl i get injectors to.

Does your turbo have the upgraded flapper? What size is your exhaust, and yes, you probably should upgrade your O2 at this point. If you plann on running some higher boost you probably wanna also upgrade your injectors to at least 550s and get a bigger fuel pump as well. Then get the safc and tune er in. I went the other route and set up my fuel system first, now i am waiting for a nice day to bolt on the evoIII 16g and other crap.

no i dont have the mod My exhuast is the apexi n1 turbo back. no cat. Yea i was planning on doing fuel system first but my stock turbo blew so i just jumped intot he turbo.

you may want to get teh 34mm flapper installed or have someone open the wastegate hole bigger, these turbos dont vent too well without it.

I'm pretty sure he means port the wastegate or get it ported. That usually helps with boost creep, especially cause you have a bigger turbo. Good luck!

That is gonna help, but it seems a lot of people are having problems with the 16g and bigger. The wastegate is simply too small to get enough exhaust out to prevent creep, it should be illegal to sell them without the upgraded wastegate. I even had that problem with my 14b when I boosted it up to 16psi. I have 3" turbo back and a custom made O2 which is pretty huge, but I got boost creep. I got a dremel and I opened teh wastegate whole myself and it went away. I did not upgrade the flapper, just opened the whole, which I do not recomend doing. Your O2 can be as open and freeflowing as it can be, if you cant get the exhaust out of the hot side fast enough, then boost creep usually occurs.

Hey, my friend seems to have the same exact problem. When approaching 5500 rpms you can count on 20lbs+....Here is what we have done so far to try and eliminate this. We just recently went to the extreme of getting a larger o2 housing that enables you to run an external wastegate. We have the external tial with a .5 bar spring. The turbo is a big 16g. And we still do not know what to do...it appears that the exhaust still is not venting enough. I say ENOUGH meaning it appears to work and hold boost at .5bar however after about 3500 rpms it starts to creep...just thought i would add my two cents

i just had mine done right away on my turbo, but i think you can buy the flapper seperate and install yourself. I dont know where though. Still ave to port the hole though, I would try to port the whole first to the sive of teh stock flapper, that might help it out.

I'm a little confused on how to make the whole bigger pics or anything would help.
