Check Engine Light

I just recently replaced my clutch master cylinder. I think i got the setup correct, but now my check engine light is on. I don't know if by replacing that part, it affected my care. Is there any way I can check or diagnose my car without going to the shop? It costs about $100 for me everytime.

autozone checks my light for free everytime i duno where u are from thoy.... or u can buy your own checker for about 100 also

As a test . . . disconnect your battery for about 30 seconds . . . then reconnect. See if the light goes out. If not, you'll either have to take it to a place like AutoZone. . . or buy a tester.

There's no real 'easy' way to do it with the OBDII systems like the OBDI

Did you reinstall the electrical plug on the clutch pedal switch?
Checker also has free use of code readers.
