loose hood??

ever since i bought my 1gen eclipse, the hood rattles like a mofo. Can i just tighten down the bolt's to get rid of this problem? or is there somethin else i have to do. thanks!


Also:... is there somethin i can spray on my brakes that will stop them from sqweaking?(sp?)... pads are good, and calipers/rotors are too. they just sqweak.


1more problem.. is it possible for a caliper, or 2 to lock up.... when i park my car, and then reverse. i cant tell if its 1 or 2, but the screeech for a few seconds. loud a shyt, any idea's? thanks!

Try _unscrewing_ the big rubber bumpers that hold the hood in place.

There are many anti-noise products for disk brakes, so far as I know, all require the pads be removed to apply them. When the pads are out, chamfer off the leading edge.

You need new brake pads.
